Peace, Health and Medical Work (PHMW) is an elective module at the University of Tromsø, North Norway. It is intended for students who are interested in health-related peace and conflict work.

As the world's first of its kind, this Master-level module focuses on positive and negative approaches to peace, provides theoretical and analytical tools for comprehending the basic mechanisms of medical peace work, and it introduces necessary skills, knowledge and values.
The elective consists of four weeks reading, one intensive teaching week and a ten-day home exam.

The module was designed by a peace-health working group at the University of Tromsø and the University Hospital North Norway, consisting of Nina Emaus, Knut Holtedahl, Tordis Høifødt, Klaus Melf, Jochen Peters, Kristin Scharffscher, Lars Småbrekke and Solveig Wiesener.
